How TruePane Windows & Doors Was Born in Miami

TruePane didn’t start in Miami, but bringing it here meant something to us. Dale Kessler had spent years watching the same pattern repeat itself across Florida: a homeowner pays top dollar for impact windows, and six months later the frame binds when the humidity swells, or a seal fogs because someone rushed the install to get to the next job. The brand itself goes back to 2008, when Dale split a window crew out of a general contracting outfit because windows were the one part of every job that got argued about later. Out-of-true installs. Warranties that covered neither glass nor labor. Homeowners left holding the phone. So TruePane was built on a rule Dale kept written on a whiteboard: if the pane is not true, the job is not done.

When we opened the Miami branch, the local team knew exactly what they were walking into. Miami is not one market. It’s neighborhoods with salt air off Biscayne Bay, high-rise corridors in Brickell, and older single-family blocks in Coral Gables and Kendall where the original jalousie windows are finally coming out. Every one of those openings has its own story. We came here because we kept hearing from Miami homeowners who’d been quoted one thing and handed another, or who’d had a crew walk off a job with a window that stuck. That was the moment Dale knew this market needed what TruePane had been doing since 2008: measure twice, quote side by side on paper, register both layers of the warranty before the truck leaves the driveway. We didn’t reinvent the company. We brought the standard here, and we built a local team around it.

Dale Kessler’s Personal Connection to the Windows & Doors Trade

Dale Kessler grew up around glass and wood the way some kids grow up around engines. His father was a glazier, a second-generation tradesman who kept a level in his truck door and a pencil behind his ear. Dale wasn’t raised in a showroom or a sales office. He was raised around saw tables and caulk guns, around the smell of fresh millwork and the sound a sheet of glass makes when it’s set just right. He learned early that a window isn’t a product you put in a wall. It’s the thing between your family and the weather, between your living room and the noise, between your house and the hurricane. That stuck with him.

As a young man, Dale worked on framing crews and finish crews, and he kept getting pulled back to windows because that was where the details lived. A door that swings true feels like nothing. A door that’s off by an eighth of an inch feels like a fight every time you open it. He could feel the difference before he could measure it. When the trade started shifting toward volume, toward installers who’d never set glass and sales reps who’d never held a shim, Dale knew he wanted something different. He wanted the craft preserved and the homeowner treated fairly. That’s what gets him out of bed: not just selling a window or a door, but making sure the person who opens it ten years from now still feels the click of a job done right. If he weren’t doing this, he’d probably be teaching it, passing on what he knows the way it was passed to him.

Meet Dale Kessler - The Person Behind Every Job

Dale Kessler is the Owner & Founder of TruePane Windows & Doors. He’s a second-generation glazier with more than a decade of hands-on experience in the field, from rough openings to finish trim to the final square check on every sash. He leads the Miami branch personally, and he still gets on jobsites because he believes the person whose name is on the truck should understand exactly what’s happening in the home. Dale’s not a franchise technician working off a script. He’s the one who sets the standard, and he’s the one who stands behind it.

It’s his name on the work, and he treats every home in Miami like it belongs to someone he knows. That’s not a slogan. That’s how he was raised. He’d rather lose a bid than cut a corner, and he’d rather come back twice than argue once. That’s the person you’ll deal with when you call TruePane.

Our Promise to Miami Homeowners

We run on four values, and we put them on the wall. Krafted right means trained journeymen, proper materials, no shortcuts. Every time means the 400th job gets the same care as the first one. Your home first means we work in your house the way we’d work in our mother’s. Standing behind it means if it’s not right, we come back, no paperwork, no arguing. That’s not a list of nice ideas. It’s the way we’ve operated since 2008, and it’s the standard we brought to Miami.

Every estimate is written line by line, on paper, so there are no surprises on the bill. Every warranty gets registered before the truck leaves the driveway. And every opening gets measured twice because an opening that’s out of true binds, leaks, and fails early. Truing the pane, that’s the whole craft. That’s why the name is on the truck.

Our Credentials

  • State-licensed: Every pro working under our name is required to hold the license and insurance their state requires. We don’t skip that step, and we don’t ask you to take our word for it.
  • Insured & bonded: Same standard. The coverage is in place because the work matters, and because your home deserves protection even before the job starts.
  • Years of local experience: We’ve been serving Miami long enough to know which openings fail first in salt air and which frame materials hold up to a South Florida summer.
  • Strong local reputation: Homeowners across Miami know the TruePane name, and we’ve earned that one job at a time.

Here’s why those matter to you. A license means the person in your home has met the state’s bar, not just our own. Insurance and bonding mean that if something goes wrong on your property, you’re not left holding the cost. Local experience means we know Miami’s codes, Miami’s humidity, and Miami’s housing stock, from mid-century blocks to new construction. And a local reputation means we answer for the work after it’s done, because we plan to be here for a long time.

Rooted in Miami

We built the Miami branch to be a permanent part of this community, the kind of company that plans to be in town in thirty years. That means answering the phone with a person, training apprentices into journeymen, and sponsoring local events where we actually show up. We serve Miami the way a neighbor should, not the way a fly-by-night crew does.

Why the TruePane Standard Matters in Miami

Miami is hard on windows and doors. The salt air off the coast eats at frames. The humidity swells wood and tests seals. And hurricane season is not a theory here, it’s an annual fact. That’s why the Keystone Standard matters more in this city than almost anywhere else. We apply it to every window and door we install: both warranty layers in writing, durations stated clearly, 90 days on our workmanship, and no arguing if something isn’t right.

We still measure every opening twice. We still quote manufacturer lines side by side on paper, so you can compare PGT, CGI, and ViewLux on the same terms. We still register both warranty layers before the truck leaves the driveway. If the pane is not true, the job is not done. That’s not a tagline. That’s the name on the truck, and it’s the promise we make to every Miami homeowner who calls us.
