CGI Custom & Geometric Windows in Miami: What to Know First

We install, replace, and service CGI custom and geometric windows throughout Miami as an independent CGI service provider, not a manufacturer-authorized dealer. Most custom-shaped CGI jobs run two to four weeks from measure to install, depending on the geometry and whether we are matching existing impact glass or upgrading the opening. Pricing is honest and line-itemed on paper before any work starts, and every job carries our Done Right Promise plus both manufacturer warranty layers registered in writing. If you own a CGI window with an arch, a radius, a trapezoid, or an oversized span, this page is for you. Call (754) 238-2201 and a live person will answer.

How CGI Products Fail - and How We Fix Them

  • Radius corner seal separation on CGI Estate Collection picture windows. In Miami’s wet-season heat, the butyl seal where curved glass meets the sash frame flexes and eventually lets moisture in. You will see a milky haze working inward from the bottom corner of the arc. We pull the sash, strip the old seal, set new butyl with a full perimeter bead, and retest the glass with a moisture meter before reinstalling. The fix holds because we take the time to clean the glazing channel completely, which is where rushed jobs go wrong.
  • Binding operators on CGI Targa series casements with geometric glass. A trapezoid or triangle casement puts uneven weight on the crank mechanism. Over three or four years, the gear teeth strip on the low side. Owners tell us the window cranks fine halfway, then grinds. We replace the operator with the correct OEM torque-rated part, shim the sash so the load sits balanced, and the crank turns smooth again. Aftermarket operators that are not torque-matched will strip again inside a year, which is why we stock the right parts instead of whatever the supply house has on the shelf.
  • Stress cracks radiating from glass corners on CGI fixed lites with tight-radius cuts. A triangle or narrow arch cut creates a stress concentration at the apex. Miami’s thermal swing, hot sun on one side and air conditioning on the other, can turn a micro-fracture from the original cut into a crack that runs across the pane. We see this most on CGI’s older Sovereign line. When we replace the insulated glass unit, we spec a slightly thicker lite with a polished edge, not a seamed edge, which relieves the stress point and stops the crack from coming back.
  • Leaking at the mullion joints where a geometric window meets a standard rectangular unit. On CGI combinations, the intersection of a circle-top over a rectangle is the weak point. The factory silicone bridging the two frames cures hard over time and pulls away from the aluminum. Florida’s summer downpours find that gap. We cut out the old bead, tool in a marine-grade sealant that stays flexible in Miami humidity, and reflash the exterior joint. No caulk-over-caulk bandage that fails next hurricane season.
  • Failed rollers and tracks on CGI sliding glass walls with custom-height panels. Oversized and non-standard-height panels place more load per roller than stock sizes. We see flattened rollers and scored tracks, especially on the CGI Estate series sliders. Owners complain the door starts dragging and then needs a shoulder. We replace the roller assemblies with the heavy-duty OEM carriage, inspect the track for scoring, and if the track is worn past tolerance, we replace that too. Half-fixing this job means the new rollers wear out fast on a damaged rail.

Our CGI Custom & Geometric Windows Process

  1. 1
Measure, not guess. Dale Kessler measures every opening himself, twice. A geometric window has no straight lines to hide an error behind. If the original measure from another company says one thing and our tape says another, we trust the tape.
  2. 2
Parts and glass decision on paper. We lay out the options in front of you: OEM CGI parts and glass, or a quality aftermarket equivalent where it makes sense. You see the price difference in writing before we order anything.
  3. 3
Warranty check. We pull your CGI serial numbers and verify what the manufacturer warranty still covers. Both warranty layers, manufacturer and our workmanship, get registered in writing before the truck leaves your driveway.
  4. 4
The install or repair. Uniformed, background-checked technicians do the work. The opening gets prepped, the new or repaired unit goes in square, and the flashing and sealant get done the way Miami weather demands.
  5. 5
Water test and operation test. We run water on every joint and cycle every moving part before we call the job done. If it leaks or binds, we fix it before we leave.
  6. 6
Cleanup and the 90-Day promise. We haul off the old unit, sweep the glass, and leave you with a written line item of what was done. If anything is not right in 90 days, call us. We come back and make it right. No paperwork fight.

What CGI Custom & Geometric Windows Costs in Miami

  • Seal replacement on a radius or arch fixed lite: $280-$560 per unit, depending on glass size and whether the sash must be removed.
  • Casement operator replacement for a geometric CGI casement: $190-$380 per window, part and labor included.
  • Insulated glass unit replacement for a triangle, trapezoid, or arch: $520-$1,150 depending on glass type, impact rating, and whether it is a tempered or laminated lite. Radar or Low-E coatings add cost.
  • Mullion joint reseal between geometric and rectangular units: $240-$480 per joint.
  • Full custom geometric window replacement, measured and installed: $2,200-$6,000 plus depending on size, shape, glass package, and impact requirements. This is the one where the written quote matters most, because every opening is different.

What moves the price: the shape itself, the glass spec, whether the opening is impact-rated and must stay that way for code, and how accessible the window is. We give free estimates with line-item pricing, so you see exactly what you are paying for before you approve anything. Call (754) 238-2201 and we will schedule a time to measure and quote. No surprise line items on the bill.

Why Miami Homeowners Call TruePane Windows & Doors for CGI Work

We have been serving South Florida since 2008, founded by Dale Kessler on a rule that still hangs on the whiteboard: if the pane is not true, the job is not done. We are not the cheapest bid in the room, and we do not try to be. We are the company a homeowner calls after the cheap bid goes sideways. Our technicians are background-checked and uniformed, and they work in your home the way they would work in their own mother’s. We are an authorized installer for more than a dozen lines including PGT, CWS, ES Windows, and ECO Window Systems, so if the answer on your CGI window is replacement rather than repair, we can show you side-by-side quotes on paper and let you decide. And a live person answers our phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Not a voicemail tree. A person.

What Neighbors Say About TruePane Windows & Doors

★★★★★

"Whole-house window replacement at 71 years old is not something you want to do twice. Dale walked the house himself for the quote. Crew was the same three men all four days, and the foreman knew every window by room."

PPat and Ray L.
★★★★★

"Our bay window had rotted at the sill and two other outfits wanted to talk us into a flat picture window instead. TruePane rebuilt the opening and matched the original look. Neighbors have knocked on the door about it."

GGene A.
★★★★★

"French doors to the patio, custom size because this house was built in 1961 and nothing is standard. Measured twice, three weeks to fabricate like they warned, and the install day they laid runners over my floors without being asked."

MMarie S.
★★★★★

"A casement crank had stripped and the sash was swollen shut. The technician, Ray, fixed the crank on the spot and only then talked about replacement for the three windows that were genuinely done. That is why the whole street uses them now."

EEleanor G.
★★★★

"Had fog between the panes in four windows. They explained the seals had failed and argon was long gone, replaced the glass units instead of selling me whole windows. Honest outfit."

FFrank D.
★★★★★

"Impact windows on the whole house. They handled the permit, the inspection, and gave me a folder with every approval number for the insurance company. My windstorm premium dropped enough to notice."

BBill T.
★★★★

"Storm door and a new back entry door. Small job, but they treated it like one that mattered. Screws in the hinges are stainless, the sweep actually seals, and the invoice matched the phone quote to the dollar."

VVernon H.
★★★★★

"Eleven windows replaced in two days. The crew chief, Marcus, showed me the level on every single frame before they caulked it. My wife noticed the street noise was gone before I did."
