Pella Custom Windows & Doors in Miami: What to Know First

We’re an independent Pella service provider in Miami, and we handle custom windows and doors for Pella owners across the city, from Kendall to Coral Gables to Miami Shores. Most custom Pella work, including custom shape windows and architectural grilles, is quoted within a few days and installed within two to four weeks once materials arrive. Pricing runs higher than what you’d pay for a stock window swap because custom shapes and oversized glass panels are built to order, but we quote the full job in writing before any work begins, and that number doesn’t move once we start. If you own a Pella window or door that needs custom work, call (754) 238-2201 and a live person will answer.

How Pella Products Fail - and How We Fix Them

  • Architect Series wood windows with failed glazing beads. Pella’s Architect Series uses a removable interior glazing bead that, in Miami’s humidity, can swell and crack where the bead meets the sash. Owners see fogging or water staining at the bottom corners. We re-groove the sash, install a new bead with proper sealant, and reflash the exterior so water can’t find its way back in.
  • Designer Series between-the-glass blinds that stop raising. The tilt mechanism inside the glass on Pella Designer Series windows uses a plastic gear that strips after years of daily use in salty air. Pella’s solution is a full sash replacement; we can often rebuild the gear assembly with OEM parts and save the sash, which keeps the warranty intact and the cost lower.
  • Custom-shape Pella windows (arches, circles, trapezoids) with leaking frame corners. In Miami, custom shape windows live with intense UV plus wind-driven rain, and the corner joinery on older Pella custom units was the first thing to open up. We see this most often on round-top windows over entry doors in older Coral Gables and Pinecrest homes. The fix is disassembly, corner re-keying, fresh structural adhesive, and a full perimeter reseal, not a bead of caulk over the top.
  • Encompass sliding patio doors that bind in July. Pella’s Encompass line is an entry-level aluminum door that expands in Miami’s summer heat. The rollers ride out of adjustment, the door drags, and the interlock catches. We replace worn rollers with heavier stainless units, re-shim the frame, and reset the interlock so the door moves with one hand even in August.
  • SDL grilles (simulated divided lites) that rattle against the glass. On Pella windows with SDLs, the interior grille bars are held by spring clips that lose tension over time. Miami homeowners hear a rattle every time a truck goes by. It’s a small fix, but it takes someone who knows how Pella’s clip system works to do it without scarring the sash. We replace the clips and re-seat the grilles so they sit still.

Our Pella Custom Windows & Doors Process

A Pella job in Miami starts with a phone call to (754) 238-2201. Here’s how it goes from there:

  1. 1
We come out and measure every opening twice. Dale Kessler still measures every job himself. Custom Pella work leaves no room for a rough number. The rough opening gets checked in three places: top, middle, bottom, plus diagonal corner-to-corner.
  2. 2
We diagnose the specific failure or the specific custom need. On a repair, we identify the exact part and the exact cause before we quote anything. On a custom build, we review shape, glass package, and frame material with Miami’s wind and humidity in mind.
  3. 3
We quote on paper, side by side. If a Pella part has a viable aftermarket equivalent, we show you both prices and tell you straight which one we’d put in our own home. For replacement windows, we quote Pella alongside other manufacturers we carry, including Andersen, PGT, and CGI.
  4. 4
We order OEM Pella parts or custom fabricate. For warranty-sensitive repairs, we use genuine Pella components. For custom glass and shapes, we work with fabrication partners who cut and temper to spec, and everything is inspected before it goes on the truck.
  5. 5
We install, test, and explain what we did. Every Pella window or door gets an operation test, a water test on the exterior seal, and a walk-through with you before we clean up.
  6. 6
We register both warranty layers and hand you a written guarantee. That’s The Keystone Standard. Before our truck leaves your driveway, your manufacturer warranty is registered in writing and our Done Right Promise covers the labor.

What Pella Custom Windows & Doors Costs in Miami

Here’s what custom Pella work typically runs in Miami, based on jobs we’ve quoted and completed in the last two years:

  • Architectural grille (SDL) replacement on one Pella window: $140-$320 per sash
  • Custom shape window re-seal (arch, circle, trapezoid): $350-$700 per unit
  • Designer Series blind mechanism rebuild: $180-$400 per sash
  • Encompass sliding door roller and interlock reset: $220-$450
  • Full custom Pella replacement window, standard size with SDLs and impact glass: $1,450-$2,800 per window installed
  • Oversized custom Pella window or custom shape with impact glass: $3,200-$7,500 per unit installed

What moves the price is the glass package, the shape, and whether the opening needs reframing. Miami’s high-velocity hurricane zone rating adds cost to any impact-rated glass, but it’s not something we’d suggest you skip. Call (754) 238-2201 for a written line-item quote. Estimates are free, and the price we quote is the price you’ll pay.

Why Miami Homeowners Call TruePane Windows & Doors for Pella Work

We’ve been working on Pella windows and doors in Miami since before Dell introduced the first netbook, when the Tamiami Trail still had more nurseries than nail salons. Dale Kessler grew up in Kendall, trained at Miami Dade College’s vocational program, and spent summers watching his father re-glaze storefronts along the Tamiami Trail before he ever picked up a paycheck. The work we’re best known for is impact-rated installations that pass inspection the first time. Every Pella job we take is covered by our Done Right Promise, and we register both manufacturer warranty layers in writing before we leave. A live person answers our phone 24 hours a day, because if something goes wrong with your Pella window, you should not have to navigate a phone tree to get it handled. If the pane is not true, the job is not done.

What Neighbors Say About TruePane Windows & Doors

★★★★★

"Whole-house window replacement at 71 years old is not something you want to do twice. Dale walked the house himself for the quote. Crew was the same three men all four days, and the foreman knew every window by room."

PPat and Ray L.
★★★★★

"Our bay window had rotted at the sill and two other outfits wanted to talk us into a flat picture window instead. TruePane rebuilt the opening and matched the original look. Neighbors have knocked on the door about it."

GGene A.
★★★★★

"French doors to the patio, custom size because this house was built in 1961 and nothing is standard. Measured twice, three weeks to fabricate like they warned, and the install day they laid runners over my floors without being asked."

MMarie S.
★★★★★

"A casement crank had stripped and the sash was swollen shut. The technician, Ray, fixed the crank on the spot and only then talked about replacement for the three windows that were genuinely done. That is why the whole street uses them now."

EEleanor G.
★★★★

"Had fog between the panes in four windows. They explained the seals had failed and argon was long gone, replaced the glass units instead of selling me whole windows. Honest outfit."

FFrank D.
★★★★★

"Impact windows on the whole house. They handled the permit, the inspection, and gave me a folder with every approval number for the insurance company. My windstorm premium dropped enough to notice."

BBill T.
★★★★

"Storm door and a new back entry door. Small job, but they treated it like one that mattered. Screws in the hinges are stainless, the sweep actually seals, and the invoice matched the phone quote to the dollar."

VVernon H.
★★★★★

"Eleven windows replaced in two days. The crew chief, Marcus, showed me the level on every single frame before they caulked it. My wife noticed the street noise was gone before I did."
